Pay It Forward Book Exchange

Overwhelmed With Joy originated the Pay It Forward Book Exchange. Joyful Things won one of her books and then paid it forward herself. And guess who won? Why, little old me!

I am now ready to pay the book forward myself. I'm quoting from Joyful Things, because she says it much better than I can:
The book I am giving away is the first book I won!! And I received it from Overwhelmed, herself. I am giving away The Road by Cormac McCarthy. This is a well written and well conceived book. I will warn you it is bleak, stark and gray. A man wanders “the road” with a young boy. All life as they know it is devastated. I wasn’t able to start this book immediately after I received it, but when I did start it I blew through it in less than two day. It is hard to put down. It will be one I will not forget.
She is so right. I couldn't put it down and acutally neglected my Punkin long enough to finish it in one day.

The Road by Cormac McCarthyTo win, you need to agree to give this book away, to“Pay It Forward” when you are done. To do so, please leave me a comment letting me know you are interested. I'll let Punkin draw a name for me and choose the winner. Please comment by Thursday, October 18th, noon central time. I'll announce the winner that afternoon. After Punkin's nap, of course!

If you comment - and win! - be prepared to e-mail me your mailing address so I can send you the book. And for those of you familiar with how slow I am at doing things - the book is already in a padded envelope and only awaits your address and a bit of postage!

Joyful Days is doing another give away right now. Stop by to see her and maybe win a great book. Overwhelmed With Joy, who began the Pay It Forward Book Exchange, will be giving away two more the first week of November. She also has listed some other bloggers who are giving away books be sure to stop and visit them to win.

Because reading is great fun. And getting great books for free? Even better! Now if I can just find a chips and salsa give away.......

Do you know that if I were to have another boy his name would be Cormac? Or maybe Calum. I'm torn between those two.

And in case you don't win? There's always, you know, "the library"! But then maybe I'm just spoiled because we have an AWESOME system here. :)

I'm very interested in reading this book. Always up for a good read. I'd be willing to Pay it Forward also. I think this is a great way to read books and to share the love. Books are expensive, especially when you read as fast as I do.

This is a great way to share books. If it came to this house both my mother and I would read it before PIF.

Bookcrossing.com is a great community of people who love books and like to pass them on :). Actually it's very much like your idea to "pay it forward". I thought you were a bookcrosser when I dropped by this website (and your blogger friends, I came from one of their website). Anyway if you do decide to check out the bookcrossing website, I'm under the username "meexia". Drop me a message ;). If not, my email is dioniys[at]yahoo[dot]com. Thanks for dropping by.

ps: I'm still not sure how I wanna pass on my last book, but if I decide to do a drawing I will put you in ;)

Blue Momma, I've already given my 2 books away so I can't enter you in for my drawing, but I have linked your giveaway up in my October Pay It Forward Book Exchange post.

Thanks so much for participating! It's neat to see one of my orginal books being circulated amongst several bloggers! :)
