Fun Monday

Pamela at The Dust Will Wait is our host for Fun Monday this week. Her challenge to us is:

I want to see what you see on any given morning this week; from somewhere very near where you live. Front porch, back porch, down the street, around the corner. Just makes sure it's your neighborhood. Post a photo that will send me to the travel agent to book a weekend at your local Bed & Breakfast.

This one will probably be pretty easy for some of you. You live at such interesting areas, with so many great things to see and do each day. I live in good old Suburbia, USA. Not so much exciting going on here nor much fabulous scenery to take in. Hell, I don't even know that there is a Bed & Breakfast in our town.

But not one to back down from a challenge, I had to give this a try. So I'll show you what I see when I look out in the morning. You may not want to call your travel agent, but you'll have a little taste of Blue Momma's life.

Ugh, just pretend like that's something you'd enjoy. Ok?

When I open my front door in the morning, which I actually usually don't do, I see thisI always look down first because who knows what's on you doorstep. Nothing designer here, just a mat from Lowe's.

When I look up I see thisI live on a street which ends at a cul de sac, but also live directly across from another cul de sac. Mostly when I look out my front door I'm just glad I don't see the piece of shit Ford Escort that was always leaking oil in front of my house in Michigan. So this view in comparison? Maybe it's boring to you, but it's glorious to me.

To the left and right

If I go to my back door I get this viewThat's my Punkin there in his Cars pajamas. Isn't he cute?

Then I turn and see the main and only attraction in the backyard, Punkin's playset.

To the right hand off of the deck, the only flowers I've managed to get in the ground after two years of living here

You can't see it really well, but the butterflies just love those red plants which I can't remember the name of. They really need weeding, though, and this blog thing isn't helping me get it done.

But my favorite thing I ever see when I look outside?

This view keeps me getting up every morning. I'd travel to where ever, whenever to see it and you just don't know what you're missing.
